Black Beauty has to suffer a lot of abuse in his long life, including witnessing the death of a great friend. It is a tough movie for sensitive kids (and adults) to watch. However, if you loved the book, I don't think you will be disappointed in the movie.

Black Beauty by Anna SewellI remember by father first reading Black Beauty to me when I was about 8 or 9. It has become a cherished memory. There is a beautifully restored, illustrated version from 1912 available for iPads on the iBookstore that has a really nice faux leather cover. The whole thing feels very vintage yet modern.
